IHES Open Seminar in Olomouc

One of the IHES Open Seminars took place in Olomouc on Friday, November 25, 2022 in the Arts Center, Palacký University Olomouc,. It was organized by the Olomoucký kraj, one of the project partners, with support of Palacký University Olomouc. The main aim of the seminar was the dessemination of project outcomes and activities carried out by the IHES Lab Olomouc. As the participants of the seminar, they came from Olomouc high schools, grammar schools and vocational schools, Czech and Slovak universities, student organisations and more.

At the beginning of the programme, it was Dr. Uwe Brandenburg from GII, who introduced IHES Project as such, its objectives and mainly the importance of IHES and similar projects for the society. Project outcomes were presented by Dr. Dalibor Mikuláš, Head of the International Division at Palacký University Olomouc while focusing on the IHES Online Repository, IHES Mapping Report, IHES Network of Organisations and IHES Guidelines. 

The following half of the programme presented the activities of IHES Lab Olomouc, based at the Faculty of Law, Palacký University Olomouc, sharing the good practices. The IHES Lab Olomouc members presented their activities in the following scale:  

  • Global Witness of Climate Change 
  • EU into Schools 
  • Classes for Senior Citizens 
  • Advisory Centre for Ukrainian Refugees 
  • Street Law for French 

We are truly glad that we had this opportunity to share the IHES project outcomes and IHES Lab Olomouc activities in front of almost fifty participants and we are looking forward to potential cooperation in the coming future!
